Wi-Fi- ja verkko-ongelmien vianmääritys
The Wi-Fi network does not appear.
- If the Wi-Fi LED is off, power saving has switched the Wi-Fi off because no device was connected. Press the ON/OFF button briefly to switch it on again.
- The device broadcasts one network at a time, on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. Look for the network name of the band in use.
- In Network > Wi-Fi Parameter Settings, check that Broadcast is set to ON. If it is OFF, the network is hidden: enter its name manually on your device.
Should I use 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz?
The 5GMIFIAX900 is a Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax, AX900) hotspot. It broadcasts one band at a time:
- 2.4 GHz: longer range and better penetration through walls, and the most stable connection.
- 5 GHz: highest speed, but shorter range. Recommended for working from home close to the device.
To switch, go to Network > Wi-Fi Parameter Settings and select 2.4G or 5G in Wi-Fi Band Selection. Each band keeps its own name and password: your devices must reconnect.
Tips: The Wi-Fi range is better outdoors, where there are no walls to cross.
The 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is unstable.
The 2.4 GHz band is crowded: microwave ovens, cameras, connected objects and Bluetooth devices also use it. Go to Network > Wi-Fi Parameter Settings, click Edit and select channel 1, 6 or 11, which give the most stable connection. Very heavy rain can also disturb the 2.4 GHz band: the signal looks good but no data passes.
A device cannot connect to the 5 GHz network.
Check that the device supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi, or switch the hotspot to the 2.4 GHz band.
How many devices can connect?
Up to 16 devices at the same time. Set the limit in Network > Wi-Fi Parameter Settings > Max Wi-Fi Connections.
The connection is slow.
- Check first that the firmware is up to date in System > FOTA.
- Check the signal in the banner of the Dashboard: the higher Rsrp and Sinr, the better the reception. Move closer to a window or outdoors.
- Run a Ping Test in System > Ping Test to check the connection.
- Use the 5 GHz band close to the device.
Tips: Actual speed depends on your operator, your plan and the network coverage.
How do I share the connection with a computer over USB?
Connect the USB-C cable of the device to the computer, then switch USB Network Sharing on in System > USB.
