Where should I plug in the repeater for the best result?
Placement is the single most important factor for performance:
- Start the first-time setup with the repeater plugged in the same room as your router (strong signal guaranteed). Once configured, move it to its final location.
- The ideal position is roughly halfway between your router and the area with poor coverage.
- Use the Wi-Fi LED as a guide: solid blue = good location, solid red = too far from router, move one socket closer.
- Keep the antennas fully unfolded and vertical.
- Avoid placing the repeater near microwave ovens, cordless phone bases, large metal objects or thick concrete/brick walls.
- Do not install it inside a cupboard, behind furniture or on an extension lead placed behind a cabinet.
Tips: Prefer a free wall socket at mid-height on an interior wall, with no major obstacle between the repeater and the router.
