What's the difference between TNTSAT, FRANSAT and Free-To-Air satellite reception?
Free-To-Air (FTA) decoders can only receive unencrypted channels broadcast via satellite. They cannot receive the full French TNT bouquet, as French TNT channels are not broadcast in the clear via satellite — access is conditional (encrypted).
- A TNTSAT-certified decoder, such as the SRT7404, is required to receive French TNT channels via the Astra satellite at 19.2°E.
- A FRANSAT-certified decoder is required to receive French TNT channels via the Eutelsat satellite at 5°W.
