Settings and features

How do I back up, restore, or restart the router?

Backup: System Tools > Backup & Restore > Backup configuration files.

Restore: System Tools > Backup & Restore > Browse, select the backup file, Load Configure File. The router restarts automatically.

Reboot: System Tools > Reboot > Perform Reboot. A scheduled automatic reboot can also be configured.

Warning: Never cut the power during a configuration restore.

How do I create a guest network or restrict access by device?

Guest network: go to WLAN > WLAN 2.4G > Multiple SSID. Check Enable on interface ra1, enter a separate SSID and password, and click Save & Apply. Up to 3 additional virtual networks per band are available.

MAC-based access control: go to WLAN > Advanced > Access Control. Choose Deny Access to block listed devices or Allow Access to permit only listed devices. Click Add to enter device names and MAC addresses, then Save & Apply.

Tips: You can also schedule Wi-Fi on/off times under WLAN > Advanced > Scheduler.

How do I open ports for a game or server (Port Forwarding)?

  • The ROUTERBE3600 does not support manual port forwarding. The available alternatives are DMZ (More Settings > Other Settings > DMZ Settings) for exposing an entire device, and UPnP (More Settings > Other Settings > UPnP Settings) for applications that open their ports automatically.

How do I run diagnostics (Ping, Speed Test)?

Ping test: System Tools > Diagnostic > Ping Test. Enter a target IP or domain name, select the interface, and click Start.

Traceroute: System Tools > Diagnostic > Traceroute Test. Traces the network path — useful for identifying where a connection drops.

Speed test: System Tools > Diagnostic > Speed Test. Select the WAN interface, direction (Upload/Download), and target server, then click Start.

Tips: If an issue cannot be resolved, prepare your serial number (Status > Device Info > Device SN) and contact STRONG support at www.strong-eu.com.

My IPTV service does not work

  • Go to Advanced > IPTV Configuration > Proxy. Select the WAN interface used for IPTV and check Enable Proxy, then Save & Apply.
  • If multicast IPTV is used, also enable IPTV Snooping under Advanced > IPTV Configuration > Snooping.

Tips: If your ISP assigns a specific VLAN ID for IPTV, configure it in Network > WAN Configuration with Service set to IPTV or INTERNET+IPTV.
