Pairing fails / 'Connection successful' never appears
The most common causes and fixes:
- QR code not read: maximise your phone screen brightness, hold the camera lens 15–25 cm from the screen, and make sure no protective film is on the lens. The camera must be in pairing mode (status LED blinking red). You have 2 minutes after the RESET — if time runs out, repeat the RESET and try again.
- Wrong Wi-Fi band: you must select a 2.4 GHz network. If your router uses a combined SSID (same name for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), temporarily rename one of the bands in your router settings to distinguish them.
- SSID or password too long: both must be 24 characters maximum. Shorten them in your router settings if necessary.
- Permissions missing: make sure Bluetooth and Location are enabled on your phone during pairing.
- Camera not in pairing mode: hold RESET for a full 5 seconds until the LED blinks red slowly. If the LED is solid blue, the camera is already connected — press RESET again to force pairing mode.
Tips: Keep the camera and your phone within 1–2 metres of the Wi-Fi router throughout the entire pairing process.
