The image is dark at night / Night vision mode explained
The DOVY has two completely independent lighting systems:
- Infrared night vision (6 × 940nm IR LEDs): these LEDs are totally invisible to the human eye. When the room is dark, they activate automatically and the camera produces a clear black-and-white image. The 940nm wavelength does not disturb the baby's sleep. Effective range: 2–4 metres.
- Night light / veilleuse (2 × multicolour LEDs): this is a visible coloured light for ambience, controlled separately via the app (Settings > Night Light Setting) or the physical veilleuse button. Turning the night light on or off has no effect on infrared night vision.
Tips: The night light veilleuse turns off automatically after 30 minutes to save battery.
