Check the timer in Menu > System > Book Manage (date, start and end time, Mode set to Record).
Check that the time of the receiver is correct (Menu > System > Local Time Setting).
Check that a USB device with enough free space was connected (Menu > Media > HDD Information > Rec free).
Very large hard disk drives (several terabytes) can take too long to start up and index, so the recording may start late or be missed. Use a USB device of reasonable size.
