SIM card and mobile network

How do I monitor or limit my mobile data usage?

  • Go to Mobile Network > Statistics to view Data Usage Total, 1 Month, and 1 Day.
  • Set a limit in Max Data Usage (MB or GB) and enable Traffic Limit Notification Switch with an alert threshold (default: 80%).
  • Set Traffic Overrun Action to Disconnect to automatically cut off mobile data when the limit is reached.

Tips: To disable roaming abroad: Mobile Network > Mobile Connection > Data Roaming > Disable.

How do I use the WAN Ethernet port? What is 5G failover?

  • Connect the WAN/LAN 2.5GbE port to your Internet box or modem with an Ethernet cable.
  • Go to Internet > Ethernet and set Connection Mode to Auto (or the mode appropriate for your ISP). Click Apply.

If the wired connection fails, the router automatically switches to the 5G mobile network (5G failover) to maintain Internet access without any manual action.

Tips: If you do not want to use the port as WAN, set Connection Mode to LAN only — the port then becomes an additional 2.5 Gbps LAN port.

The 5G and 4G/3G LEDs are both off / The router has no Internet

Both LEDs off after startup almost always means the SIM is not detected or requires a PIN. Check in order:

  • Make sure the nano SIM card is properly inserted (base of the router, contacts facing up, pushed until it clicks).

  • If a PIN is required: go to Mobile Network > PIN Management, select Enter PIN in PIN Operation, type your code, and click Apply.

  • If the SIM status shows PUK REQUIRED, the SIM is blocked — contact your operator for the PUK code.

  • If the SIM is recognised but there is still no Internet: go to Mobile Network > Profile Management and verify the APN.

  • If coverage appears to be the issue, try moving the router to a window or higher position for a better 5G/4G signal.

Warning: Maximum 3 PIN attempts (shown in Remaining Attempts). After 3 wrong attempts, the SIM is locked and requires the PUK code from your operator.
