Which USB devices are compatible?
- Storage medium: USB flash drive or hard disk drive (HDD), connected to the USB 2.0 port. SSDs have not been tested. A flash drive must be reasonably fast, because it has no cache memory like a hard disk drive. A hard disk drive usually needs an external power supply.
- Storage capacity: use a device of reasonable size (for example a 128 GB flash drive). Hard disk drives of several terabytes take too long to start up and index: timer recordings may be missed because of this delay.
- File system: FAT32. A device already formatted in NTFS on a computer also works.
Tips: STRONG cannot test every brand, model and size of USB device. Compatibility with all devices cannot be guaranteed.
